The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a series of job vacancies across various ministries and state departments, inviting qualified candidates to apply by September 10, 2024.
The announcement highlighted that applications must be submitted online through the PSC website (www.publicservice.go.ke) or the job portal (www.psckjobs.go.ke). The deadline for applications is September 10, 2024, by 5:00 PM East African Time.
In total, 144 positions are available, including 42 roles as Assistant County Commissioner II, a Deputy Director for Social Welfare/Counseling Services, and six Assistant Directors in the same field.
The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development department is seeking candidates for several high-level positions, including Secretary, Director, Deputy Directors, and Assistant Directors in various roles.
In the State Department for Public Service, there are openings for two Directors of Counseling and Wellness Services, a Deputy Director, 14 Assistant Directors for Counseling and Wellness Services, 15 for Management Consultancy Services, six for Public Service Reforms, and 10 for Research.
The State Department for Parliamentary Affairs is looking to hire two Legal Affairs Officers, three Parliamentary Affairs Officers, and 10 Coordination & Strategy Officers.
Within the Transport sector, there are opportunities for two Assistant Directors in Air Transport and two more in Shipping and Maritime.
The Youth Affairs and Creative Economy department has a vacancy for a Director of Youth Development.
In the irrigation sector, positions include a Director of Irrigation Sector Development Coordination, a Deputy Director/Senior Principal Superintending Engineer in Irrigation Infrastructure Development, a Deputy Director/Senior Principal Superintending Engineer in Water Harvesting and Storage, a Deputy Director of Land Reclamation & Ecosystem Restoration, and a Deputy Director of Irrigation Water Management.
The PSC has also announced vacancies for Deputy Vice-Chancellor positions at Chuka University (Administration, Finance, Planning, and Development) and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (Academic Affairs and Research).
Furthermore, the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is seeking to fill 131 positions, including three ICT Officer II roles, 41 Compliance Officer II roles, 14 Fingerprint Officer II roles, and a Human Resource Officer II position. Additional vacancies at the NSSF include 35 Office Administrator II positions, a Security Officer II, two Assistant Records Management Officer III roles, 23 Driver II positions, and 11 Office Assistants.
Details of all the vacancies and the application process can be found on the respective websites of the PSC and the National Social Security Fund. Applications for the positions must be submitted by Monday, September 9, 2024.
