Nairobi, Kenya – Governor Johnson Sakaja visited traders affected by recent fire incidents at Toi Market and later at Umoja 2 to express condolences and offer support. The fires, which occurred last night, tragically claimed four lives at Toi Market. Governor Sakaja assured the bereaved families of the county’s support during this difficult time and promised to assist traders in rebuilding their businesses.
Governor Sakaja expressed gratitude to first responders and those who helped mitigate the damage. He reported that a total of seven fires erupted across the city overnight, with all affected individuals set to receive support.
However, the governor faced hostility in Kibra, where he was met with stones from residents during his visit. Despite the incitement, Governor Sakaja emphasized his commitment to supporting Nairobi’s residents. https://x.com/maliks_88/status/1819695719223062980?s=46
